My artistic experience is primarily intuitive. Imagination plays a guiding role in my choice of colors and alternative materials that I integrate with precious metals. Based on a concern for color balance and textures, my approach is to provide both a visual function and a tactile quality, since the resulting pieces are meant to be touched and worn.
At the initial stage, the design, I am looking for the balance between a wearable and functional piece of jewelry and an expression piece which is more a projection space for themes I want to emphasize.
My work is an exploration of the natural world and it is also a metaphor of the cultural and urban life. From this exchange, arise at times very structured pieces of jewelry, and at times more organic forms. To me jewelry is ornament and art and my work reflects this vision as I strive to create pieces relevant for our times.
